The Keratoconus workshops aim to improve the access to contact lens types for keratoconics in TnT. Glasses do not give good vision for this condition and people with keratoconus rely on contact lenses totally for vision. If they can only wear, for example, rigid lenses for a few hours a day, they are effectively blind for the rest of the time. SGHO is pioneering the fitting of soft lenses for this condtion which wil hopefully extend the wearing time of contact lenses in TnT’s sometimes challenging climate!

In 2008, the KeraSoft (UK based) lens was introduced intothe clinics – this year introduced the Flexlens (US based)
