Wednesday 6th May – Open day
9.00 – 12.00 noon
General welcome and introduction by various speakers. Information on glaucoma, cataract, sport, squint, low vision, Ocular trauma, keratoconusand Helath and lifestyle sessions.
In line with the theme of taking responsibility for your own health, emphasis wil be put on how to improve diabetic health through diet and exercise and self monitoring. Advice on how to avoid unnessecaryinjuries through sport and other general activities.
Career information for Eye Care related professions wil also be presented including updates on the new School of Optometry
Thursday 7th May – Sangre Grande Outreach program
The Outreach program will be visiting various EHRA Health Centres in the Eastern Region
Friday 8th May – Conference Day
This year the conference will concetrate on the theme of Shared Care between Community practitioners and hospital in the Eastern Region.

Shared care schemes are now well established in the UK and it is hoped delegates will take the opportunity to discuss how these systems can inform the development of similar schemes in Trinidad and Tobago.
